An annual rally in Daytona Beach , FL , this event draws more than a half million motorcyclists every year. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Held every August in Sturgis , South Dakota , the rally draws hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists a year. The rally began as a stunt and racing event but has grown to become one of the largest gatherings of motorcycle enthusiasts. Racing and touring events still headline the event, but the main purpose of the rally is to allow motorcyclists from a variety of backgrounds to gather and share their passion for the motorcycling lifestyle.

The Dakar Rally

Sponsored by the Amaury Sport Organisation, the Dakar Rally is one of the longest and toughest races in the world. Motorcycles comprise one of three classes in the annual event and require riders to tackle a wide-range of difficult off-road terrain. The annual event typically starts in Western Europe and ends in Africa and covers thousands of kilometers. The race accepts both amateur and professional riders, but acceptance into the race is very competitive.
