The United States offers hundreds of scenic highways and byways which attract thousands of touring motorcyclists every year. The wide-range of geographic features across the nation treat riders to a variety of motorcycling experiences. Below is a sample of the most popular motorcycling routes in the U.S.
Route 66
Also known as the 'Mother Road', Route 66 is a historic highway which stretches 2,400 miles between Chicago and Los Angeles. Built to connect the east to the west in the early 1900’s, Route 66 winds through many of the nations most scenic vistas. Cascade Loop
Located in Washington State, the Cascade Loop Scenic Highway is a 400 mile long drive passing through the Puget Sound, the Cascade Mountains, and the high desert climate of the Columbia River Valley. Perfect for touring motorcycles, the route offers a variety of seasonal events, day excursions, and stunning scenery. Although most roads are open and maintained year round, be sure to plan ahead before making your trip as portions of the loop are susceptible to weather-related closings.

Blue Ridge Parkway
Winding 469 miles through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, the Blue Ridge Parkway reaches some of the highest alititudes east of the Mississippi. The route offers a multitude of scenic vistas as it makes its way through the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The Blue Ridge parkway also boasts more than 400 miles of trails and plenty of opportunities for day excursions. Roads are vulnerable to weather-related closings, so you should plan ahead before making your trip.
