PWC Safety Regulations - Kentucky
In Kentucky, personal watercraft operators under the age of 12 may not operate a PWC over 10 horsepower.
Those persons who are aged between 12 and 17 can operate a craft if they have successfully completed a boating safety course approved by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. They must carry proof of the certification.
They do not have to have a certification if they are accompanied by someone over 18 or a person who is certified.
Personal watercrafts are not allowed to be operated from sunset and sunrise.
It is imperative to know and follow the federal regulations and your state regulations. Your PWC insurance company and the USCG will expect you to follow all regulations.
