PWC Safety Regulations - Mississippi

In the state of Mississippi, children under the age of 12 cannot operate a personal watercraft unless they have successfully completed a boating safety class and is accompanied by an adult 21 years or older. And proof of completion must be carried on board at all times.

All PWC operators born after June 30, 1980 must carry a valid Mississippi Boater Education Card and a Mississippi Boating License .

While towing a skier or anyone, there must be someone over 10 years of age riding on the PWC to act as look-out and the vessel must be rated for three passengers.

Personal watercrafts are only to be operated during daylight hours and not within 100 feet of a skier or another vessel.

The USCG and your PWC insurance company will expect you to follow all federal and state regulations.
