Children's Life Jackets - Hawaii

In the state of Hawaii, children under the age of 12 are required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket or life vest, when on a boat.

The life vest should also be in good condition and fit the child properly. The exceptions to this regulation are if the child is below deck or in a fully enclosed cabin.

Parents are responsible for ensuring their children's safery by requiring them to wear a life jacket or life vest. The USCG and your boat insurance company will expect you to comply with the Georgia boating safety regulations,as well.
