Children's Life Jackets - North Carolina

State regulations in North Carolina state that children under the age of 13, are required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket or life vest when underway on any recreational vessel of any length.

Life vests and life jackets are to be in good condition and fit the child properly at all times. The only exception is if the child is in an enclosed cabin or below deck.
