Children's Life Jackets - Wyoming
In Wyoming, children under the age of 13, are required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket or life vest at any time while they are underway on a boat of any length.
The life vest or life jacket should be U.S. Coast Guard approved and should always be in good condition and fit the wearer properly. The exception to this rule is while the child is below deck or in a fully enclosed cabin.
It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure the child wears the life jacket or life vest and the USCG along with your boat insurance company will expect you to comply with the state boating safety regulations.
